Welcome

It is our desire to share the love of quilting with those who feel the same, whether you make them or just admire them.

We know the best inspiration comes from just looking out our own windows. The color, pattern, shapes and textures can only be humbly imitated and when you have captured even one of these elements it is truly beautiful.

Our Goal

  • We hope to inspire, motivate or make you smile as you see the collection of patterns, books and fabrics that have been brought together with the love of nature as our theme.
  • If you see a quilt you just have to have but don't have the time or availability to do it yourself, we will be happy to make it for you.
  • Keep you connected with local Oregon events and national shows.
  • Check the Newsletter for current happenings.

Hello from Tresa:

Quilts By Nature was established in 2006 as a home based business owned and operated by
Tresa McConachie. I am delighted to live in Molalla, Oregon just 45 minutes south of Portland, where I find inspiration everywhere.  Married to a wonderful man for 25 years with two terrific teenage sons.

I am just one of the many who can't quiet their hands until something is produced from their heart to look at. My mother inspired me. Out of the need to keep 6 girls busy, taught me skills that have brought a life time of pleasure. I will always be grateful. Quilting has entered my life only in the past 12 of the 30 years that I have been sewing.

I have the privilege of participating as a vendor in several quilt shows a year and teach at  local shops.
I have been a pattern designer for Paintbrush Studios /Fabri-Quilt since 2009, and have had the pleasure of having published projects.

ETSY is home to the retail side of my quilts and finished products.
As a member of team "Quiltsy"we promote the love of making fiber art.
